Welcome to the National Capital Region Sigma Kappa Alumnae Website!
The National Capital Region Sigma Kappa (NCRSK) alumnae group formed in the summer of 2012 by merging together two separate alumnae chapters in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.
Washington, DC is a fun and dynamic city with much to see and do. It is also a migratory city where people are constantly relocating for jobs, internships, and family commitments. We welcome all Sigma Kappas regardless of age or collegiate chapter to join with other Sigma's for sisterhood and fun! The goal of NCRSK is to promote Sigma Kappa values and sisterhood around the DC Metro area. Whether you were very active in your collegiate chapter and just graduated, or you have not been active since college, we encourage you to be involved with NCRSK. Since many women live and work in different areas, we try to plan events around the metro area to accommodate everyone. NCRSK supports both the Zeta collegiate chapter at The George Washington University and the Lambda Eta collegiate chapter at American University. Many of our members serve on the corporation board and advisory board for these collegiate chapters. An event we look forward to every year is the Walk to End Alzheimer's, where the collegiate and alumnae chapters can join together to support our national philanthropy. In years past, we have had more than 250 Sigma Kappas attend the event! The easiest way to get involved with the NCRSK alumnae group is to come to an event. We are all sisters and welcome new members! We try to plan one event per month. Events range from the ever-popular dinner and drinks to pottery painting and even Washington National's baseball games! |
